About the Department

An educational institute is rightly termed as temple of knowledge and CHM College stands true to this testimony. Established in 1965, the College has transformed the lives of thousands of students by empowering them to excel in their lives.

Founded in the same year, the Department of Commerce is the core department of Commerce Faculty catering the need of higher education for larger section of society. The Post Graduate programme with Specialization in Business Management was introduced from the year 2007-08.The Department strives to enrich the learning experience of the learners by integrating different teaching learning pedagogies, various guest lectures, seminars, workshops, etc are organized to give practical exposure to the learners. Classroom activities such as Group Discussion, presentations, class tests form a regular practice to make the teaching learning process more effective. Field Visits and Project work ensures application of the knowledge gained. The Learners are enthused to participate in various curricular and co-curricular activities to ensure their all round personality development. Many of the alumni of the Department not only hold respectable positions in the industry but also are budding entrepreneurs and successful professionals.
