About CHM Incubation Centre

HSNCB’s Smt. CHM College, one of the prominent colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai, is proud to establish “CHM Incubation Centre” (CIC) to enable learners with entrepreneurship and innovation driven activities. The centre was officially launched on 31st august, 2019. The centre aims at developing business acumen among the learners, staff and community in general. The centre also endeavours at launching successful startups with industry linkages. Today, it’s not possible to imagine an educational institution without laboratory, library or sports ground. In the fast changing competitive world, incubation centre has the same relevance. CIC helps the students in creating a business idea and converts them into actual application i.e. a business solution through innovation.

Mission and Vision

Mission:

• To create an entrepreneurial mindset among the students.
• To facilitate creation, transfer and application of knowledge and ideas.
• To incubate and support innovative ideas to enact wealth and employment action through successful startups
• To provide a platform for speedy commercialization of products or services developed by new entrepreneurs.

Vision:

Designing a platform for fostering innovation and facilitate budding entrepreneurs to convert their innovative ideas through business acumen into viable business solutions along with creating the synergy between academia and industry to create the entrepreneurial culture and the ecosystem.

CIC works in following domains to promote entrepreneurship and start-up culture in the institution.

(1) Creating Entrepreneurial Mindset: through Seminars and Talks on Entrepreneurship Development

(2) Business Planning Framework: Conducting Sessions on Writing Business Plans and Competition on Business Plan making

(3) Interaction with Industry Experts

(4) Forming Startups, Encouraging institutional innovation projects and implementing Students’ Learn & Earn Projects

2. Meher Foods: Manufacturing Unit producing confectionery products, involved in B2B segment; launched by Akash Jashnani
