About the Department

The Department of Hindi has grown into a full-fledged academic centre with undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses and facilities. Established in 1965, with one of the Founder Teachers of the College, the late Prof H M Cheejwani, it has grown in academic and scholarly pursuits.

The current Faculty in the Department of Hindi is as follows:

The Department runs the following Courses:

• FYBA - Hindi Ancillary and Hindi Compulsory
• SYBA - Hindi Ancillary
• TYBA - Hindi Literature (Specialisation) with 06 Papers since 1979-1980.
• MA - Hindi literature with 08 papers in two years, introduced in 2008-2009
• TYB.Com - Hindi, since 1990-1991
• Ph.D. Research Centre
