The Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) course is the second unaided course started by the College in the year 2000 immediately on its introduction by the University of Mumbai.

Being a professional course which prepares students for a career in Journalism and Advertising, faculty from media are invited as Guest lecturers. This helps to provide first hand expertise in media and exposure to actual working conditions in the field. Eminent Journalists from mainstream papers like the Indian Express, DNA, Times of India and advertising professionals, radio professionals and professionals from the alternative media form the Guest faculty. To strengthen the academic and theoretical base of the students in-house faculty from departments of Psychology, Political Science, Sociology and English are invited as Part Time faculty.


Initiatives

For political awakening among the residents of the city of Ulhasnagar, students of Mass Media had organized Social awareness Skit on the issue of “Right to Vote” at four different places in the city.

To cater to the creative urge of the students and spread social awareness department organizes annually a poster exhibition called “Envisage”. Posters exhibited in the program are on the social issues such as Women Empowerment through Education, Blood Donation, and Aids Awareness etc. It helps in spreading social awareness and sensitizing people towards different social aspects of society.

Study Tours have been organised for students to The Times of India Press in Mumbai, Lokmat Press and Printing Unit and PEPSICO Unit at Nashik, Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and Malayalam Manorama Press at Kerala.
