A new committee for the year 2010-11 was constituted with 16 teachers from arts, Commerce, Science & Unaided faculty in the month of July 2010. It decided to have two phases which are as follows.

Departmental PTA:

In the first term departmental PTA of the parents of the third year student was held. The parents were updated about the department, its activities, student attendance & results of the class tests & overall performance of the student in the studies & extracurricular activities. They were requested to be the part of the PTA association. Their suggestions were taken by the departmental teachers for maximum implementation.

Phase II

College level PTA:

50 Parents willing to be part of the association were invited for a PTA meeting, they were welcomed by the Principal & the Vice principal orally presented the overall college profile to the parents. Then its significance & role was updated to the parents. The parents were asked to fill a questionnaire, regarding the college activities their suggestions & improvement if required.(Questionnaire attached overleaf) Then an open forum for interaction & discussion was held. The parents & teachers had a interactive session.(Photographs are attached overleaf)

Parents Suggestions:

■ Prohibition of mobile phones in college. ■ Uniforms as dress codes. ■ Regular PTA meetings. ■ Introduction of new courses ■ Updating the parents regarding the student attendance.
