Report of Sindhi Sahitya Sangat 2010-2011

“Sindhi sahitya sangat” established by the sindhi department of Smt C.H.M college since the year 1965.

It has taken sternous efforts to spread sindhi language and enhance sindhi literature among the youth of this modern world.

To cultivate love and affection for sindhi language and deep devotion for our precious mother tongue. Sindhi sahitya sangat performs many social cultural moral educational programmes and also arranges for the Saminars, Kavisamelans, sindhi Mushairas etc.moreover it keeps “International collegiate competition “Sindhi songs,dance and drama programmes elocution to spread sindhi language through entertainment sources.

The scholar and Intelligent students are awarded every year to incourage them for sindhi language and to keep our mother tounge extant .As our sindhi community abides in every nook and corner of the world.

The aim of sindhi sahitya sangat is to achieve goal and make sindhi so beautiful that the aroma of sindyat spread for and wide and the word “Sindhi literature” should glitter with the golden letters in the history of education.

Sindhi sahitya sangat constituted with the purpose of inculcating cultural values It has organised variety of programmes in the academic year 2010-2011.

The year started with grand inaugural function of sindhi sahitya Sangat on 10th July 2010. It was organised on the eve on the anniversary of renowned.

Sindhi saint “Bhagat Kanwar Ram” the chief guest of the function was Dr. Jetho Lalwani, ex-director of NCPSL ie, National council for promotion of sindhi language. The function was started with welcome speech by principal. Dr (mrs) Bhavna Motwani, (mrs) Neelima chandiramani the principal of Law college and campus Director, Dr.Acchra. Renowned singers, father – son due Kishen jhuriani and Raj jhuriani made the function memorable with their melodious songs and bhajans of Bhagat Kanwar Ram.

This was followed by,sindhi Mushaira mehfil organised on 8th Jan 2011 With the purpose of popularising sindhi literature amongst the students. The chief –guest Of the function was former principal of Smt C.H.M college, Dr. Dayal “Asha”.

The Function proceedings were taken over by sindhu Adhabi sangats’ president, Mr. Gyan Shadabpuri and secretary, Mr. Nand tlindiya. Sindhi sahitya sangat also organised Debate competition 5th jan 2011 and Literary quiz on 12th jan 2011.

The sangat also proposes to organise guest lectureOn 19th feb 2011 by famous writer, Ms Veena shirangi And National seminar on promotion of sindhi Language in the month of march.
Renowned lawyer Mr,Ram Jethmalani has given his kind consent to grece the occasion .
