Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad are set up as per the Supreme Court Ruling (Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009) and under Section 26 (1) (g) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956) New Delhi, 110002, the 17th June2009 (https://www.ugc.ac.in/page/Ragging-Related-Circulars.aspx). The committee is set up to create awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and prohibit the occurrence of ragging in all forms from the college and maintain a ragging free environment in the college campus.

The committee makes students aware of ragging and its consequences. The committee takes initiative to sensitize students against the ill effects of ragging via awareness programs and street plays.
